Whether you paint, draw, sketch, or explore mixed media, this challenge is about doing the work… without pressure, perfection, or overwhelm.
This challenge is for you if:
-
You want improve your skillsÂ
-
Unsure what to paint or create next
-
Frustrated by inconsistency
-
Afraid your work isn’t “good enough”
You’re not alone—and this challenge can help.
A gentle but powerful January experience for you to create every day or almost everyday —in small, doable ways.
This is what you’ll get:
-
A daily creative prompt (simple, flexible, and encouraging)
-
A goal setting session before we even begin
and a celebration party when we finish! -
Permission to show up imperfectly
This isn’t about producing masterpieces. It’s about building the habit of showing up.
- We'll have a Kick-off Party on Dec 27th. 🎉 In this session, we'll plot and plan for best chances of success. You'll get to decide how many paintings you want to create or how many days per week. There are no right or wrong answers. You are the boss of your own challenge, but it's meant to push you a bit. ;)
- You'll get a prompt in your inbox everyday. These will be about tips, mindset, technique and in general thoughts that have helped me when I did challenges in the past.
- The most important thing to remember is that you’re not competing with anybody else. It doesn’t matter how many paintings others are creating, how big or how good. You are not creating to make anyone else happy. We're creating to improve our skills and develop habits.Â
- We'll all share our creations on social media daily (if that's what you want to do!)
- We'll have an end of the Challenge Party on Feb 1 🎉
Hi, I’m Marcela.
I’ve been painting for over 20 years and I’ve devoted the last 14 years to painting with oils almost exclusively. I’ve tried many ways and I’ve found what works for me.
Over the years, I took part in many painting challenges. Each and every single one one of them hugely contributed to my growth as an artist. I was applying today what I learnt yesterday, making sure lots of the techniques I developed stayed fresh and became second nature to me. This is why I am a great advocate for painting lots and painting often if we want to take our art to the next level.
I have applied this principle to my own art practice which lead to growth and finding my voice. There’s a lot I’ve learned about art, creativity, and working as an artist over the years. I’d love to share it all and walk alongside you in this next stage of your creative journey.
I hope you’ll join me!
